The 20th RPS International AV Festival took place on the Royal Agricultural College in Cirencester, from 14th to 16th September 2012.
Eighty-six entries were received for the Festival, from twelve countries. A pre-selection took place, and the Chair of Jury selected seventy-eight sequences for showing at the Festival.
44 were from mainland UK, 2 from Northern Ireland, 6 each from South Africa, Australia and France, with the remainder from Ireland (3), Switzerland (3), Italy (2), The Netherlands (2), Norway (2), Belgium (1) and the USA (1). The “Documentary & Tourism” category was once again the most popular, with 50% of acceptances from this category.
I an happy to report that all projection sessions were flawless, and the sequences came across with excellent clarity both visually and audibly on the HD projection equipment.
The overall winner was "For The Sake Of Example" by Keith Leedham (UK). A full list of the winning entries can be seen in the Results section, and a list of all accepted sequences in the Accepted Entries section.
