Group Portfolio Ken Keen FRPS
Ken's photographs are often of church interiors. He uses large format cameras (10 x 8 or 12 x 5) and crafts the prints using various processes from the early days of photography. Ken is visually impaired, but tellingly notes that 'the Art of Seeing is all in the mind, and it was only my sight that was lost'.
To quote the photographer further:
'Perception is, I believe, the key to unlocking the darker world
A world as it appears for many with a visual impairment
Living as I do, in such a world which appears but dimly lit
Living in a state of permanent twilight gives me a great and beautiful feeling of peace'........
'Much of the time that I spend inside a church is spent in trying to capture on photographic film, the quiet peace and the tranquility that one can experience within mediaeval and holy places.'
