International Projected Image Exhibition

International Projected Image Exhibition

The International Projected Image Exhibition (formerly The International Slide Exhibition) was renamed in 2007 with the addition of a Digital Section. The Exhibition has been well established within the photographic fraternity for many years and continues to attract a very high entry worldwide. It is an open competition in which there are slide and digital sections in the Open and Nature categories.

The Open category welcomes a wide range of subject matter from the artistic to the documentary, but excludes Nature. The Nature section depicts observations from all branches of natural history and the high standard of photography is reflected with work of exceptional quality. Each section has its own specialist selectors, usually Fellows of the Society.

There are Gold, Silver and Bronze Awards in all categories and the exhibition has, for some years, been awarded recognition by the Photographic Society of America and acceptances can be credited towards PSA Star Ratings.

Under 25s - A number of selected Under 25s will receive free membership to The Society for a year with a free submission to a Society Distinction assessment as part of the Jeff Vickers FRPS Genix Imaging Youth initiative.  These will be selected by the judges, based on merit.

The Exhibition tours the UK and The Republic of Ireland and is accompanied by a colour catalogue and/or a Presentation CD-Rom.
