Industry news, Society news

Future Publishing, who have a number of high-profile photography or photography relevant magazines in their portfolio including Digital Camera and Practical Photoshop, have announced that they will be holding a new event to fill the slot normally held by Focus on Imaging at the NEC in Birmingham.  The Photography Show will take place from Saturday 1 March, 2014 until Tuesday 4 March, 2014 and is supported by The Royal Photographic Society.

The Director General of the RPS, Dr Michael Pritchard said “The RPS is delighted that Future has launched the Photography Show at the NEC as the industry needs an annual showcase to promote itself. Future has some ambitious plans and the RPS will be supporting them.”

The show will feature some of the biggest names in photography among the retailers and exhibitors at the event (Nikon and Olympus have already confirmed their attendance).  There will be plenty to appeal to both amateurs and professionals alike, including a full-spec studio suite for those wanting to get hands-on in a professional environment, and themed areas such as a Wildflower Garden.
