The Royal Photographic Society's Medical Group in partnership with the University of Westminster is holding a symposium titled Images in Medicine: A Symposium for Producers and Users on Saturday, 18 October 2014 in London.
The full-day symposium brings together, for the first time in such an event, the people producing medical images with those who use them in clinical practice. Discussions will take place across four areas in which medical photography is intimately connected with clinical medicine: Dermatology, Ophthalmology, Oral and Surgery and Medical Education.
Established and renowned practitioners will present these subjects from the viewpoint of the imaging specialist, then expert clinicians working in these areas will develop the resulting themes from their perspective to show how such imaging is used for patient care, research, teaching and publication.
This is a unique opportunity for anyone working in or with medical imaging to share ideas and knowledge, to discuss methodology and best practice and to explore their common ground in some key areas in which medical photography is used today.
