Update 20/02/14!  The exhibition has been extended to 22nd Feburary at the BRLSI!

Last night Bath played host to Giles Duley HonFRPS who gave a very well received talk about his life and work to a large audience.  The talk was timed to coincide with his exhibition 'Aghanistan 2012' at the BRLSI Gallery (Queen Square, Bath, BA1 2HN), which is on until the 19th of February and is free to enter.

Duley said "It's really nice to bring the exhibition to Bath as I saw my first exhibition here (Don McCullin at the RPS Octagon Gallery - McCullin and a bequeathed gift of a camera were what inspired Duley to start taking photographs) and studied at Filton College in Bristol.  One of my reasons for going to Afghanistan was due to my friend Lucy who was a nurse there.  Bath is her home town and her family have organised this exhibition here." Visitors to the exhibition are encouraged to give donations large or small to Emergency UK while they are visiting (the charity for whom Lucy works).  Emergency UK undertake much of the emergency care work that can be seen in the images Giles has displayed.

RPS London Region are holding a Giles Duley Masterclass which is limited to six participants so you are advised to book early!
