Syvanian Summer competition

If you have young children you be aware of the iconic toy brand, Sylvanian Families. Each year Sylvanian Families hold a summer competition and it has just appointed several well-known figures to judge their Sylvanian Summer photo competition.

The judges named so far include: The Guardian’s Life & Style Editor, Kate Carter, toy photographer Mike Stimpson, Director of The Royal Photographic Society Dr Michael Pitchard, and Sales and Marketing Director of Forest Holidays, Jill Grinsted.

The Sylvanian Summer competition encourages UK-based Sylvanian Families fans to post photos of their Sylvanians enjoying their summer holidays. Fans submit their images via social media using the hashtag #SylvanianSummer. There is more than £1,400 of prizes up for grabs, and the main prize is a £1,000 UK Forest Holiday. The competition launched on the 1st July and closes for entries on midnight on the 31st August.

The Sylvanian Summer competition, which is being managed by Bath-based social media and content experts Highlight PR, has kicked off to a flying start with entries flooding in across the various social platforms. From aspiring toy photographers to parents looking for a project to work on with their children, the competition is attracting a wide variety of entrants and images.

We’ve had lots of really promising entries for our Sylvanian Summer photography competition so far, and we hope that over the next few weeks the competition helps engage and grow our 20,000 strong social media presence.

Sylvanian Families turn 30 years young in 2015, and the Sylvanian Summer competition is the first in a series of campaigns we have planned that are geared towards reinvigorating the brand’s audience before its anniversary next year.”

Competition winners and runners-up will be announced via social media in September.
