Exhibitions, Competitions

The RPS has announced the entrants shortlisted for the International Photography Exhibition 162. Congratulations to the 166 international photographers who will now submit prints for the final stage of selection.

Our thanks go to this year’s selection panel comprising of Shannon Ghannam, Skinder Hundal, Yan Wang Preston and Cian Oba-Smith. The panel had the challenging task of anonymously reviewing work submitted by 1370 photographers and image makers from 62 countries.

An impressive selection of images has been shortlisted, exploring places far and wide, from the heartland of the American Midwest to the mysteries of outer space. Brexit, Extinction Rebellion and the climate crisis feature, and powerful narratives concerning identity, family and humankind's influence on the landscape emerge, reflecting the concerns of the modern world.

Thank you to everyone who submitted work to the IPE 162 and to theprintspace for their continued support of the IPE. We look forward to announcing the finalists in November.
