The inaugural showing of The Society’s 2012 International Projected Image Exhibition and presentation of Awards was hosted by The Society’s Southern Region on Saturday 27^th Oct at Sparsholt, near Winchester.  Roy Robertson HonFRPS presented the Gold Medal in the General Section to Mike Sharples ARPS, for his image ‘Card School’, and a Silver Medal was awarded to Dave Wilkinson ARPS for his image ‘Joanna Roswell – Women’s Pursuit Champion’. The exhibition will tour to other venues in the UK.  The next showing is at Chester Zoo on Sunday 4 Nov, hosted by the NW Region.  Details at www.rps.org/IPIE2012

All entrants to the competition will receive a copy of the CD and further copies will be available shortly from the RPS online shop for £5.  The CD includes comments from the RPS President and the selectors, Listings of photographers and Statistics, in addition to the 412 images (228 in the General section and 184 in the Nature section). CDs can be purchased for showing the exhibition at Camera Clubs and photographic events.
