Selection took place on Wednesday 25th & Thursday 26th August 2010

This year, for the first time, The Society accepted digital entries on line, resulting in a very positive 20% increase in the number of entrants, and an overall increase of 17% in the number of images submitted for consideration.

The level of entries meant a lot of work for the selectors over the two days, with Barry Mead FRPS and Colin Smith FRPS being joined by Colin Harrison FRPS in the General Digital and Open Slide categories and by Robert Hawkesworth FRPS in the Nature Digital section.

Consideration for the Awards produced a very varied set of extremely high quality images, with the Awards winners coming from 12 countries. Our congratulations go to Gwen Charnock FRPS, winner of the Gold Medal in the General Digital category, Austin Thomas, Gold Medal winner in the Nature Digital category, and Gerald Hall, Gold Medal winner in the Open Slide Category.

The N.Wales region will be hosting the opening of the Exhibition on 24th October at Craig y Don Community Centre, Llandudno and The Society's President, Rosemary Wilman Hon.FRPS will be presenting the Awards. See RPS events

A CD Rom of the Exhibition will be sent to all entrants and will be available to purchase from the end of October.

PSA Recognition (Photographic Society of America) has been awarded to all sections of this Exhibition.
