  • The Royal Photographic Society is delighted to be showing an Exhibition of Scientific Photography from 1 – 29th September at Fenton House, The Society’s HQ in Bath.

The Society is an Educational Charity, promoting both the Art and Science of photography.  The art aspect of photography is well propagated and covered by the number of exhibitions that display visual art such as documentary, landscape, portraiture, travel, creative and architectural photography but it is not often that an exhibition of scientific photography can be seen.  The Society’s last exhibition of scientific and applied photography was in London in 1974.

The submissions to this exhibition were by invitation to both members and non-members of The Society. Scientific photographers, researchers, engineers, technologists and scientists from all over the world were invited to submit images and 50 were selected for the exhibition, by experts in the field  of science.
