  • The Society’s International Images for Science Exhibition was officially opened at Fenton House on Friday 2nd September by The Society’s President, Rosemary Wilman Hon.FRPS.  The event was attended by some of the contributors, from as far afield as Australia and Sweden.  Also in attendance were the Exhibition Coordinator, Dr Afzal Ansary ASIS FRPS,  Vice President & Exhibitions Committee Chairman, Roy Robertson FRPS, Lesley Goode, Exhibitions Manager, Sally Smart, Exhibitions Assistant and the Chairman of Bath & N.E. Somerset, Councillor Peter Edwards.

The exhibition fulfils The Society’s remit to promote the Art & Science of Photography. Scientists have always needed to communicate their discoveries by pictorial documentation in the form of photographs. In fact, the application of photography to science is almost as old as photography itself. This exhibition of stunning and beautiful images showcases the vast range of applications of photography within modern-day science.

Rosemary Wilman presented certificates to the contributors who attended.

The exhibition will show from 1 - 29 September 2011 at:

    The Royal Photographic Society,
    Fenton House,
    Bath
    BA2 3AH

Monday to Friday 9.30am – 4.30pm   FREE ENTRY
