  • Judging of The Society’s 2011 International Projected Image Exhibition took place on Wednesday 24th & 25th August.  Results have now been sent to all entrants.  All email correspondence related to the competition should be addressed to IPIE@rps.org

Each of the 3 judges allocated marks of betweeen 2 and 5 for each image.  The acceptance mark for both categories (General Digital and Nature Digital) was 11, so any images marked at 11 or above have been selected for the Exhibition.  Images marked below 11 have not been selected. Members of PSA (Photographic Society of America) will receive star ratings for accepted images.

This year, The Society received over 4,000 images from nearly 800 entrants worldwide and 483 were selected for the Exhibition.  Our congratulations go to those who had images selected.

The opening of the Exhibition and presentation of Awards will be hosted by The Society’s Northern Region on Tuesday 25th  October 2011 at the Duke of Wellington, Kenton Lane, Gosforth. Newcastle upon Tyne NE3 3BQ at 7.30pm. Please email IPIE@rps.org if you wish to attend.

A listing of all selected photographers and titles of their images will be posted on the Exhibitions page of The Society’s website in due course www.rps.org/exhibitions/IPIE2011, along with a list of venues and dates for showing the Exhibition. Further dates may be added, so please check the website for any updates.

All entrants will receive a Presentation CD Rom of the Exhibition.  Entrants attending the opening on 25th October will be able to collect their CD on the night and all other entrants will be sent a CD by 4th November. Further copies of the CD will be available for purchase from the beginning of November for £5 plus p&p.  CDs can be used for showing at Camera Club events etc
