The work of many past Society Presidents is represented in the national collection of photography held at the National Media Museum, Bradford. It is more unusual for work from a living President to be selected and exhibited.
Current President Roy Robertson HonFRPS has had his photograph Fulcrum 1994 included in the Museum's newly opened exhibition In the Blink of an Eye Media & Movement. The photograph highlights the movement of a dancer.
In the Blink of an Eyeis part of imove, a Cultural Olympiad programme in Yorkshire. designed to create a lasting impact from the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games.
Roy commented: "I'm just amazed to have work included amongst such distinguished company. The NMeM has produced a superb exhibition, combining historical, scientific and contemporary work to provide a context for some very different imagery."
Roy attended the exhibition opening on the 8 March. The exhibition continues until 2 September and more information can be found here: http://www.nationalmediamuseum.org.uk/PlanAVisit/Exhibitions/intheblinkofaneye/introduction.aspx
