The RPS International AV Festival winners selected

  • The RPS International AV Festival is a biennial event that attracts entries from all over the world. The 20th Festival took place at the Royal Agricultural College in Cirencester between 14-16 September 2012.

    Eighty-six entries were received for the Festival, from twelve countries. A pre-selection took place, and the Chair of Jury selected seventy-eight sequences for showing at the Festival. 44 were from mainland UK, 2 from Northern Ireland, 6 each from South Africa, Australia and France, with the remainder from Ireland (3), Switzerland (3), Italy (2), The Netherlands (2), Norway (2), Belgium (1) and the USA (1).

    The Jury comprised Martin Fry FRPS (Chair) from the UK, Jean-Paul Petit from France, Jacques van de Weerdt from Belgium and John Willett, the Chairman of the British Sound Recording Association, from the UK.

    The top placings were:

    Grand Prix, RPS Gold Medal & RPS AV Group Prize: 
    "For The Sake Of Example" by Keith Leedham (UK).

    2nd Prize & RPS Silver Medal:
    Beewun”
    by Patrick Rottiers (France)

    3rd Prize & RPS Bronze Medal:
