Roy Robertson HonFRPS in World Photography portfolio review

  • Roy Robertson HonFRPS, President of The Royal Photographic Society, Claudia Hinterseer of Noor and Ruth Eichhorn of Geo magazine are part of a group providing portfolio reviews at the World Photography Organisation’s events around the Sony Photography Awards and National Photography Symposium which takes place at the end of April and May. The critiques will take place on 1 May 2012.

    Marking the 5th Anniversary of the Sony World Photography Awards, the beautifully curated winners' exhibitions will be on show inside the Embankment Galleries at Somerset House, London. In this vast photographic exhibition, will be some of the best contemporary images taken by photographers from across the globe. Mixed media installations will include traditional print, video, moving image and 3D, with subjects spanning all genres, including fine art, fashion, portraiture, sport and photojournalism.

    Alongside the exhibition World Photo London which runs from 27-29 April is returning for its annual weekend of exciting events. The programme incorporates events for anyone who enjoys photography, whether a culture buff or a practicing enthusiast, including; City Project Workshops, Business of Photography Seminar, Blurb Drop-In Workshops, Critique Sessions and Winners Tours. Many events are FREE and students receive 20% discount on most ticketed events.  The WPO will also have its day-long symposium on the business of photography, which will bring together photographers, curators, agents and marketing consultants to look at how photographers can diversify to survive in the current market.  For more information, visit www.worldphoto.org.
