My interest in photography began when I was at secondary school, seeing the photo in the darkroom of a press photographer. Then I started to learn photography from him and used his darkroom to practise darkroom skill. In Form 5, I bought my first camera, it was a Rolleicord VB, it cost me the whole earning working in a factory in the summer vacation. The passion for photography did not stop and it drove me to learn photography at Tyler School of Art, Temple where I gained my BFA. After returning to Hong Kong, I worked in a commercial studio.
In 1987, I joined the Royal Photographic Society. Two years later, I was admitted to ARPS title. In 1993, RPS accepted my submission and granted me the title of Fellowship (FRPS).
I am now a safety practitioner, a completely different job from photo art. However, I still enjoy photography as a part of my live. My camera is always with me inside my briefcase.
