Grant Kinnaird

I was Born in Dufftown Scotland 1940.

My first job on leaving school was as a darkroom assistant working for Planet News in Fleet street. I spent three years there learning the trade, from carrying sacks of hypo to developing and printing black and white proofs which were then sent around to the picture editors at all the major news papers.

I have been involved in sport most of my life. I studied and taught Karate for over 30 years, and hold a 5th dan black belt qualification.

I am also a qualified Yacht Master and Coastal Skipper.

Photography has alway held an interest for me and I still own a 1954 Rollieflex Automat which was the first camera I ever purchased. Other interests took priority for a number of years but the advent of digital photography rekindled my interest. I use Olympus E system cameras.
