Brendan Grimes

I was born in Dublin in 1945. My father introduced me to photography when I was about 12 year old and I still have my first camera, a Kodak Sterling II folding camera. Right from the start I was encouraged to develop and print my own photographs.

During my career as a lecturer in architectural history in the Dublin School of Architecture I used photography to illustrate my lectures, articles, and books. After retiring I completed a BA in photography in the School of Media, Dublin Institute of Technology.
