Mark Treacey

I attended art college where I attained a diploma in graphic design before moving to London and the fantastic, frantic world of magazine publishing. I worked on the production of several monthly, internationally distributed, magazines before leaving the UK for the laid back lifestyle of Perth, Australia. For over twelve years I was the systems manger of a professional photographic lab. I now work on a freelance basis. I have worked on photographic and design projects in the UK, Australia and Europe.

I like to look for, and focus on, details. The smaller details make the bigger picture complete. Sometimes the whole story can be told with a study of the simplicity of the detail, even the stunning, sweeping landscape is dependent on the many small details that make up its beauty.

I’m always happiest when my boots are muddy and the shutter is clicking away.
