Hello, I live and work in the picturesque town of Shrewsbury in Shropshire. A historical town, rich in history, industry and culture and surrounded by some of the most beautiful and inspiring landscapes in Britain. The Shropshire Hills are a certified ‘Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty’ (AONB) and has breathtaking landscapes, colourful heathers and grasses, geological forms, waterfalls, pond life, wild birds and even wild ponies (if you are lucky). My family also live in North Wales where I try to visit as much as possible, and if I get a bit of time I like to take images of the Llyn Peninsula.
It was a lecture in the local theatre from renowned Landscape photographer Joe Cornish that finally channelled my creativity. Mr Cornish made me realise that you don’t have to go to places like the ‘Lake District’ the ‘Jurassic coast’ or the ‘Scottish hills’ for great photographic subject matter.
Surrounded by a wealth of natural beauty I felt compelled to take photographs that encapsulated the local countryside and share them with you here.
I hope you enjoy my images.
