Malcolm Riches LRPS

I have been awarded the Licentiate Distinction and I am a member of Fordingbridge Camera Club.

When at Secondary School (over 45 years ago!) I joined the Photographic Club and enjoyed many hours working the the school's darkroom. But, after leaving school, and not having my own darkroom, photography took a backseat.

When training, at the age of 47, to be a Priest in the C of E. a parishioner asked if I had a hobby because, without a hobby whilst working, it would be hard to make the future adjustment into retirement. What a thoughtful comment to someone just about to start in a new direction in life!

But she was right. And, with the tools of a Pentax SLR, computer and a Nikon slide scanner, I started all over again.

I have now gone fully digital, but still miss the darkroom and the excitment of the postman delivering a package of slide transparencies.

I love creating images that stimulate an emotional response! I hope you like them.
