John Roe ARPS

I graduated with a Degree in Documentary Photography from Newport College, Wales, moving straight into freelance photography working with clients such as the Red Cross, the Salvation Army and the Big Issue.

Projects included in my portfolio are:
'Of No Fixed Abode' a photographic and film based project supported by the Salvation Army (Bristol), Big Issue Southwest (Bath office) and Statement Media (Bath).  The photographic side of this project looked into the separation I felt as an outsider looking into the everyday life of people waiting to be housed in a Salvation Army Hostel.

'Green & Pleasant Pastures' is a project that plays on the fears and concerns consumers have about the food industry after recent health scares.

'Tanzania hospital' a three week project in Tanzania (Africa) highlighting the problems caused by lack of funding for Government run hospitals.

I am one of the founding members and company directors of Omni Productions Ltd (www.omniproductions.co.uk), with an overall responsibility for print design.
