John Bradshaw FRPS

Although I have been a keen amateur photographer all my life, it wasn't until 1992 that I started on some serious monochrome work in the darkroom. Licentiateship and Associateship followed on landscape and cityscape themes. By 2004 I had completed a unique study on the Grand Tour using alternative printing processes including Cyanotype, Platinum, Albumen and Gum Printing, also Bromoil. This work led to the Fellowship in 2005. Recently I have completed a major study showing my photographic impressions of ten thousand years of Irish History which is currently on tour in Irish Museums. In 2008 I embarked on a wholly digital study of Celtic Legends.

Examples from all of this work are included in this portfolio. Some images show hand-colouring, traditional toning and alternative printing techniques.
