Chris Smith

Chris Smith is the freelance travel photographer based in Shropshire in the UK. He provides commissioned and stock Travel, Food and Nature images as well as running photo shoots to photograph product images for catalogue and advertisement use for businesses. He is planning on travelling to Australia and South East Asia for six to eight months at the end of the year. Whilst in the UK he is photographing sights around North Wales as well as beginning the process of becoming a qualified member of the Royal Society this year. Whilst travel is his main focus in photography he also provides other stock images as well as shooting catalogue work for local businesses.

Chris has achieved a high level of academic qualifications. He completed a bachelor degree at the University of The West of England where he achieved a 2:2 with honours degree. He studied Cultural and Media Studies with History where he first learnt how to turn his passion for photography into a professional skill.

Since leaving university he followed successful career path in finance where he worked for major high street banks for six years. His last position was as a business manager which he left to follow his dream of becoming a professional photographer.

He has spent his time since developing his business, Framing The Planet, where he provides  photographic services for local businesses shooting product images for advertising and catalogue use as well as stock photography for the travel, nature and food markets.
