Ian Mellor ARPS DPAGB EFIAP BPE4*

I have been interested in photography since school where I studied it to 'A' level standard, achieving a Grade 'A'.  Since then I have picked up the following photographic qualifications 'ARPS' , 'EFIAP', 'DPAGB' and BPE4* (4th Class, British Photographic Exhibitions).  I have been working in photography in a semi-profession capacity for about 27 years, taking photographic portraits, commercial photographs, calendar images and various commissions, including a limited edition poster for 'House of Frazer' of an image called 'Torso' (which sold out).  I have been exhibiting work both in the UK and around the world for over 15 years, and have achieved a number of awards, plus higher awards including a 'Guernsey Milk Churn', in the Guernsey National Print Competition, Silver and Bronze medals in the Austrian Super Circuit and Denmark 'Golden' Circuit.  I have been a member of the New City Photographic Society since 1985, during which time I have held many of the Committee posts, including Chairman. From a photographic perspective I enjoy photographing people/portraits, figure work, landscapes and experiment with various facets of the image, to produce something aesthetically pleasing although not necessary straight forward, I like the viewer to be able think and to use their imagination. Do take a look at my website for more images and details.
