Ian Tunnicliffe LRPS, LBPPA

Fineart trained in painting and sculpture, I have been a passionate photographer and painter for almost 30 years.   As a teenager, my early work centred on motorsport, particularly motocross when I developed and printed all of my monochrome images by hand.  I have never lost my love of monochrome.

More latterly, my focus has been on social photography and in particularly weddings and portraiture which have become the main-stay of my photography business.  I specialise in a photojournalistic, reportage and contemporary approach to wedding photography and when I can I love to work in monochrome.  My goal for every wedding is to capture the atmosphere and those special moments that every bride and groom will cherish for years to come.  My technical ability, creativity and attention to detail combine with my uncanny split second timing to produce truly memorable images.

In addition to weddings, I offer an innovative approach to portraiture usually opting to shoot subjects in their own natural surrounding (often at home) or on location.  Again, much of this work is in monochrome.  As a lifelong passionate photographer, my passion for experimentation has lead to a raft of personal projects and special commissions.  Also, my fascination with the natural world has manifested itself in the completion of a number of projects centred on wild and endangered species with 'big cats' and 'primates' particular favourites.

My camera is never far away wherever I go and you can often find me 'people-watching' at sporting events or just 'in-town'.  I also boast a sizeable stock image library and a limited edition fineart collection.

In addition to his wealth of experience, I have received the Licentiateships of the Royal Photographic Society (LRPS) and the Society of Wedding and Portrait Photographers/British Professional Photographers Association (LBPPA) and am currently preparing my panels for my Associatships.
