Richard Olpin

I've been a keen 'snapper' all my life and my father was a semi-pro wedding photographer for years but I'd never really taken my own photography beyond the point-and-shoot convenience of a compact.   

Having given up on the 'rat race' and quit the day job I now have rather more time on my hands and hence the decision that I needed a new hobby. Took the plunge and bought myself a D-SLR and so here we are.. 

I'm somewhat frustrated by rather defective colour vision which means I'll often tend towards mono or HDR images, but that's ok as those are both styles I enjoy anyway.

I was awarded my LRPS distinction in April 2011 and I'm aiming to submit a panel for my 'A' within the next 12 months too.
