Verity Wedderburn-Ogilvy LRPS

I'm based in Crieff in Perthshire. I consider myself lucky to be surrounded by some of the most beautiful countryside in the UK, so I'm never short of inspiration!

Coming from an astistic upbringing I was always visually aware - I left school and started out with a year in graphic art before embarking on an apprenticeship as a jeweller, attending Glasgow Art School on block release. I always dabdled in and enjoyed photography but the digital age took this to another dimesion and it has become an all consuming passion now. Stemming from an intention to restart making jewellery (a career that stalled some years ago) I bought a good camera intending to take pictures of jewellery I intended selling online. Several cameras and years later I still haven't made any jewellery and my website has no photographs of any! I gained Licentiateship in July 2009.

I provide general photographic services for private and commercial clients; with a particular interest in rural life and pursuits. I have a particular passion for the countryside and gardens, I find getting closeup to plants and flowers fascinating. My dogs are always willing models and my other passion for horses provide more inspiration. I like to think I can turn my hand to any subject with equal interest and enjoyment...but the natural world will always be my comfort zone.
