I am a hobbyist amateur photographer living in Nottinghamshire, England. I adopted digital photography early as a supplement to film. My work is now exclusively digital and this has definitely injected a whole new enthusiasm for the subject. Having tasted the delights of blacked-out rooms and noxious chemistry I think a comfy seat in daylight with a keyboard is far preferable!

The arrival of the digital SLR with 6 megapixels and more really swung me over into the digital world. I had tried the early compacts around 1Mp and used them just for casual snapshots, I waited two years for the Canon 300D body to use with existing Canon lenses from my EOS 5 and 10 bodies. The new Canon EOS 40D with a 10mp sensor has brought my digital work into the realms of film definition.

I have been a member of the Royal Photographic Society since 1989.
