Richard Hancock LRPS

After leaving school I attended Art College and then worked as a Freelance Professional Photographer for five years before deciding to enter the church.

Whilst training for ministry I put my camera away as I no longer had a darkroom and felt that I could not finish images in the way I wished. However after ordination I got hold of a very simple 2 mega pixel digital camera that came with a new PC and some basic photo editing software.

The photography bug took hold again and in the past ten years I have gained tremendous enjoyment from my photography and have been able to sell pictures through on line agencies. I with other people in the parish have set up a small informal photographic club which meets in our local village pub where photographers of all abilities encourage one another.
