Francis Minien ARPS
Francis Minien is a British Photographer, born in Reading, England in 1977. He received his BA in History and Media Studies from De Montfort University, Leicester, England in 1999 and completed his MA in Photography also from De Montfort University in 2005. He is based in New York City. He is based in New York City.
His work focuses on several theme's but based on and around his travels including street and landscape photography and the abstract in the everyday found during his travels. He has traveled extensively to over 50 countries across all 7 continents. More extensive travel photography can be seen on his travel blog www.themcminiens.com. In addition to these theme's he also has an evolving photographic kitsch artistic style of photography.
There is also a philanthropic side to his photography, where for the last 5 years he has been working with Charities, NGO’s and other Non Profits around the world. As an outlet to promote the work of these non profits he has set up an organisation called I Wanted To Help, where all projects are on exhibition in the form of photo essays.
