Neil Donaldson

I have been taking photos from about the age of 5 and have used many different cameras throught the years.

I learned how to print black and white photographs using old equipment that my Dad had once used umpteen years before.

I have long yearned to go into business as a photographer after having gone down an entirely different route (chemistry and the chemical manufacturing industry) from school. There is however an obvious connection between photography and chemistry if you think about the 'old wet chemistry' method of producing photographs. The hope of doing some chemistry related to photography kept me going for a long time but in the end the photography has won !!
