Allan Donaldson LRPS

I have been taking photos since I can remember. I enjoy all aspects of photography and my interests range from landscapes to more recently wildlife.

I joined Barr and Stroud in 1981 as an Optical Craft apprentice, where my interest in optics and cameras grew considerably. Im still there after 30 years, and wonder how I ever manged then with my old faithful Zenit 35mm SLR.How things have changed.

Living in the west of Scotland, I am lucky to be under an hours drive to the coast, and some amazing sunsets. (When it is dry of course). I also visit the RSPB reserve at Lochwinnoch on a regular basis, which is only 20 mins away.

I joined the Society to gain experience and was recommended for my LRPS at the recent assessment day in Edinburgh on 20th May 2012.

I am currently the membership secretary for Paisley Photographic Society.
