David Hall LRPS

I am originally from Cardiff, I now live in Bury St Edmunds and work In Colchester. My photography is wide ranging, though I particularly like capturing texture, colour and sculpture and architecture from all angles. I have images which particularly cover the UK, Italy and Spain. My freelance photographic work has included wedding, family portraiture, local press and commercial work.

I have achieved the Licentiate of the RPS and am currently working to build up the images which, I hope, will lead to Associateship.

Having obtained a BA Hons IIi in History from Leeds University, I then obtained a DPhil at Worcester College, Oxford, studying early medieval northern England. I have worked mostly in operational and project management in medical and legal regulatory areas, and currently work at the UK Data Archive, University of Essex.

There are many photographers, past and present, whom I admire and have inspired me, however the courage of those who risk life and liberty to ensure we have the news deserves particular mention. For this reason I’m a keen supporter of Reporters without Borders (www.rsf.org).
