Michael Barrow ARPS

Born (1987) and raised in Wigan, North West England, Michael studied and graduated with a BA(hons) in Fine Art practice from the University College Falmouth in 2010, where he undertook a keen fascination for both digital and film photographic practice.

Since then he has gone on to explore more thoroughly these photographic practices. He strives to keep his work simple and ambiguous, letting texture and surface become an intrinsic part of each image. Finding inspiration in his home suroundings, the industrial North becomes an atmospheric urban, suburban and natural environmental playground, where he dwells on the quotidian; the normal, everyday reality of the 'annonymous working classes' and their surroundings, creating tensions and narratives.
