I have always enjoyed the outdoors and wildlife and can always be found out and about. My photography, however, came along much later and I have been enjoying exploring what this has to offer since 2008. The most exciting aspect is that I am now able to combine both interests and this has opened a whole other world to discover.
Photography has provided an exciting world of colours, patterns and behaviours perhaps previously missed as I walked by. I have found that in developing my skills in composing and capturing ‘a shot’ I have become much more aware of what’s around me and taking much more notice of what is beyond the first glance.
Living in North Devon is such a special place with so much diversity there is never a shortage of photographic opportunities. I find that there is always something new and exciting to discover.
This has culminated in being able to achieve my Licentiateship with the Royal Photographic Society on June 10th 2011 and I am now working towards my Nature Associateship (ARPS).
