Daniel Hawkins

 Hi, I'm Danny. I've been a photo enthusiast since I was about 12 years old. I learned black and white darkroom work in school. My first camera was a Kodak Brownie which used 127 film. I got my first 35mm rangefinder ( a Yashica Electro 35 ) when I was 17, and my first SLR ( Canon FTB ) when I was 24.Unfortunately none of my film images survive. I currently use a Canon 40D and love it. My passion is Nature and Landscape Photography. I have been published a few times, but I'm always happiest showing my photo's in person as I love to talk about each. I taught basic photography as part of an adult continuing education program for a county school system in North Carolina, and I still continue to learn new things myself daily. Digital is amazing.I currently live in Avenel, New Jersey.
