Jeremy Pelzer LRPS
Based in London, Jeremy has been fortunate over the course of his career in Film Production to work alongside and assist some of the world’s best unit stills photographers and influential filmmakers, learning aspects of both crafts, still and motion picture.
Feature experience began with Goldeneye, work including productions for Disney, Marvel, Paramount, Fox and others, credits on further Bond films Tomorrow Never Dies and The World is Not Enough, the Harry Potter series, 102 Dalmatians, Tomb Raider, Kick Ass and Star Wars.
A camera always close at hand, Jeremy has travelled extensively across Europe, Africa, China and North America. Including a five year spell as Studio Director for Ealing Studios, work has varied from that in Production, to Locations and Special Effects, before returning to a passion for Unit Stills.
Working as a freelance unit and commercial photographer from 2008, motion feature stills photography has been complemented by other commercial and editorial assignments, where discretion, pre-visualisation and an ability to work quickly under pressure have proven invaluable assets.
Professional work has been widely published and his own personal series A Midsummer Night's Dream (2012) was featured in the Royal Photographic Society Journal. Never underestimating the power of a still frame to undo assumptions and to change perspectives, photography provides an invaluable means of storytelling, communication through a universal language.
Combined with a sense of responsibility to deliver powerful pictures that provide compelling images, Jeremy also reflects that many capture new ways of looking at both performance and reality.
