Julian Gibson

I am a retired police officer, who now works in Development & Training with the police service.

I returned to photography after 30 yrs, and have spent the last year coming to terms with DSLR cameras. I settled on a Nikon D5000 as a jumping off point, but upgraded to a Nikon D7000,and have been impressed with how user friendly it is!.

I studied photography whilst in college back in the 1970's and thoroughly enjoyed the alchemy of the darkroom and 'Dodging' and 'Burning' with impunity.....

I have been on a really good landscape photography course and it has re-ignited my passion for the outdoors in all its glory (and rain!)

Add to this RAW imaging. Elements and ACR conversion, i have still got an awful lot to learn. I value the input of fellow photographers, and welcome any tips or guidance....
