Hi, my name is Jeff and I first became interested in photography some 40 years ago - Olympus trip and black and white film - oh the joys of the darkroom !

Moved to Namibia 27 years ago and built up an enormous stock library of African nature, its wildlife and peoples - became chairman of the Photographic Society, had a few Salon acceptances and thoroughly enjoyed myself.

Returned to Europe (France) with my wife in 2000 and again built up an enormous European and US (New England) collection of photographs and memories.

1 year ago my home burned down and with it ALL my collections - yes I had backed up the photos on zip drives, Cds and even additional extenal hard drives - but guess what - in a major fire - they ALL burn.

This is simply intended as a warning to ALL other photographers - amateur and professional alike - you can not replace lost photos !

Back them up and store them in a separate building if they are important to you - and believe me, even the most trivial photo becomes important when it is lost.

I have replaced all my old camera equipment - with digital - and am busy shooting away at anything that crosses my path.

I am still enjoying my photography and hope that others may find enjoyment in my pictures - new photos shortly.
