Martin Addison

I started out using my mother's Brownie and subsequently had one of my own.   I became a Railway Enthusiast in the early 1970's and started photographing transport, initially with a Halina Paulette.

Through the 1970/80's I gradually moved on to better cameras - Praktica Super TL, Fuji ST-705, Canon AE-1 to the AE-1 Programme.

It's fair to say that the AE-1 made me a confirmed Canon user and I have not changed.   I own a Canon T90 which was a superb camera to use.

I had a break from photography for a few years as I came to terms with parenthood and the change to digital technology.   In 2005 I became involved in the Geograph project, initially using a Canon A206 compact which rekindled my desire to take photographs.

A couple of years down the road and I upgraded to the Canon EOS40D (now in use by my wife) and subsequently to the EOS7D.   I take lots of street shots for Geograph and also for myself, along with transport images.   I am also the official match photographer for Ryman League team Wingate & Finchley FC.   So, I've added sports photography to my portfolio :-)   Of course, whether I'm any good at any of them is down to others to judge...
