David Tait LRPS

Currently I am back in the UK after spending 5 years in China where I documented everyday living. I hope in the future, to exhibit/lecture,  showing through my collection of around 6500 images the kind of scenes I saw on a daily basis.

The Chinese culture is so different. Everyday things a Chinese person would think of as mundane are more "wow factor" to western eyes, simply because they are the type of event or scene that we would not even contemplate. For instance, the simple act of getting from A to B. The humble bike is still much in use in China, however, the modern China has embraced the use of electric power in the form of battery operated scooters and mopeds. They are everywhere, in a multitude of colours and style, and photographing this form of transportation for people and goods has become a favourite topic.

My photographic interests include travel; festivals; nature; people; architecture; landscape; seascape; and street photography.
