I could never draw so photography is my artistic outlet I guess. With the arrival of digital photography I have taken it a lot more seriously, and I have a growing Nikon kit based around a D90. I am now trying to focus on technique rather the gadget side of things, and am told by others that I take good pictures. I don't like getting bogged down in post editing - I use Nikon software to edit the RAW files and Apple Aperture to organise photos and for quick and easy post editing effects. 

As for subjects, we love to travel around Europe and the UK so I tend to take a lot of architecture and townscapes. I live near RAF Brize Norton so aircraft tend to feature a lot, as do my two pet dogs. But I am trying to take more pics of people, food, and wildlife. 

I have joined the RPS in the hope that it will focus my mind on taking several decent pics rather than hundreds of ones that aren't! If all goes well I may dip my toes into the water of some part time freelance work and see how it goes
