I'm a retired broadcaster/journalist specialising in sport for many years before becoming the presenter of a mid morning magazine programme on BBC Radio Leeds where I also read the Saturday TV News bulletins. During my working life I travelled as a golf reporter on PGA European Tour,commentated on all manner of sports,including Octopush-thats underwater hockey would you believe ! and became the official Stadium Announcer for the Rugby Football League at Wembley Stadium as well as all other venues used by the sport. 

A fascinating and hugely interesting life I led and after retirement I worked hard at reducing my golf handicap until one morning I woke up with a rather nasty chest pain. The rest is almost history, as now denied a day out with the lads on the golf course I started to increase an already active interest in photography. I began by firing the shutter at anything and everything but I've gradually moved towards wild life-birds mainly and sport-anything will do for me.

I believe that whatever you do you must give it your very best shot.As we say in Yorkshire "there's nowt for coming second"..Good luck...JB
