A visit by the Historical Group has been arranged to the Getty Archive - known at various times as Radio Times Hulton / Hulton-Getty / Hulton Deutsch - London for 2 p.m. on Friday 2nd November. This promises to be both fascinating and fun. The Archive under the careful of curatorship of Sarah Macdonald contains a wealth of material from 40,000 London Stereoscopic Company negatives and its various photographers to the Picture Post collection as well as tens of thousands of carefully filed press photographs.
Places are limited, up to a maximum of 15. So please contact me as soon as possible if you wish to be in the party. Meet just before 2pm at Getty Images, Unique House, 21-31 Woodfield Road, London W9 2BA.
