Around the theme of Urban Materiality, the competition comprises four categories: Abstraction, Architecture, Environment and Objects. The cost of entry is £10 for a maximum of four images. Deadline for entry is 31st August and the winners will be announced in September.
The competition will be judged by a four person team, including legendary Magnum photographer Chris Steele Perkins, Giles Huxley-Parlour (Photo Democracy), Paul Halliday (Centre of Urban and Community Research) and Del Barrett ARPS (RPS London Region).
Further information, dates, rules and regulations about this unique Urban Photo Competition can be found on www.rps-upf.org
Urban Photo Fest (UPF) is a collaboration between the Centre of Urban and Community Research, (Goldsmiths College, University of London), The London Region of the Royal Photographic Society (RPS), London Independent Photography (LIP) and other organisations working to explore and document the urban environment. Now in its second year, UPF will be offering a broad spectrum of exhibitions, workshops, guided ‘detours’, symposia, and other events based around the theme of Urban Materiality.
