Anastasia Taylor Lind
Anastasia is an English photojournalist currently based in Damascus, Syria and working for clients such as The Sunday Times Magazine, Marie Claire and The Guardian Weekend Magazine. She has a Documentary Photography BA from the University of Wales Newport and an MA in Photojournalism from the London College of Communication.
Anastasia has won a number of photography awards including The Guardian Photography prize in 2006.
In 2007 she was a selected winner in the Magenta Foundation Emerging Photographers Award and in 2004 represented the UK at a World Press Photo workshop for young photographers in Vietnam. Her work has been exhibited internationally, in spaces such as The Frontline Club in London, Oude Kerk in Amsterdam and the Lodz photo festival in Poland.
In 2008 Anastasia was included in a group show Dispatches from the Frontlines - 12 Women Photojournalist at Fovea Exhibitions in New York.
She also featured in a BBC television documentary about photography and war, which was broadcast worldwide and looked at her work alongside that of some of the world's best war photographers. A selection of her images were recently included in the book Kurds; A photographic history, which was published by Trolley books.
Anastasia is part of the VII PhotoAgency mentor program under the guidance of Ron Haviv, and her work is distributed through the agency.
