Myles Audas ARPS

It is with great sadness that we have to report that, after a long illness, Myles Audas, late of Darlington Camera Club, died on Thursday 24 July.

Myles will long be remembered as one of the finest photographers of his era, having achieved not one but three successful Fellowship panels with the RPS.

He will also be remembered by those who knew him as a perfect gentleman.

Bronze Medal Award

Congratulations to Johnny Jetstream ARPS, who has been awarded a Bronze Medal for his print 'The Captain' in the Society's 151st International Print Exhibition.

This is the first award to a Northern Area member in living memory.

Johnny Jetstream is an artist using the photographic medium.

He is based in Newcastle upon Tyne and works together with his wife as part of The Jetstream Partnership (http://www.thejetstreampartnership.com/).

His work puts architecture and landscape in new contexts to create a stark vision of the city and desert.

He spends much of his time looking for these shots in the Southwestern deserts of the USA and major cities such as Los Angeles and Miami.

All of his work is made using the Olympus E-System.
