Laurie Campbell - “Taking stock – A nature Photographer in Scotland

Laurie was born in the border town of Berwick on Tweed and for as long as he can remember he had a deep love of nature and the countryside.

After school he worked as a zoo keeper at the Edinburgh Zoological Gardens. About this time he began to develop an interest in photography and he studied for a degree in photography at an Edinburgh college.

Realising he had found the medium which would enable him to record and share his wildlife experiences, he became a freelance wildlife photographer.

Today Laurie’s work is published in books, magazines, as postcards and he writes a monthly article in “Outdoor Photography” magazine. He is a highly acclaimed and successful wildlife photographer and the region welcomes his return to present a programme of Scottish wildlife images.
